1. Who are you? We are a local family based business here in Roswell the past 38 years. We plough our earnings back into the local community. Our primary focus is serving the friendly people of Roswell but we are also happy to visit with our friends in Artesia and Ruidoso.

2. What do you sell in your store? We sell carpet, luxury vinyl, sheet vinyl (formerly known as linoleum), laminate, floor and wall tile, hardwood as well as binding area rugs.

3. Who are your installers? Our installers are clean, well groomed, neat, well spoken and professional. Each installer is trained and experienced in installing flooring. They will conduct themselves as guests in your home and show you and your home the utmost respect. You will receive the highest quality installation in the business. We will leave your home as neat and clean as when our installation team arrived. You can see examples of our installations at our Facebook page (Georges Carpet Tile).

4. We provide licensed, insured, qualified and certified installers for every flooring product we sell. We are happy to sell you our product if you have your own installer. If you have bought a flooring product elsewhere and would like us to install it please call us with full product details and we will see what we can do for you.

5. We spend a lot of time finding the best installers in town and training them to our standard of providing the utmost professionalism. We expect our installers to perform great work in your and our behalf. Of course, neither they nor we are perfect. We will endeavor to make things right if a problem arises.

6. What does your pricing involve? We will be honest with our pricing. We will not hide a disposal fee nor a take up of flooring fee. We won’t try to convince you that we offer a free installation – that’s a gimmick (an idea designed primarily to attract attention or increase appeal, often with little intrinsic value) because no installer works for free! There will be no hidden costs. We will provide you with a written quote after measuring the flooring area in your home within 2-3 days. It makes it easier to provide you with a real quote if you visit the store and give us an idea as to the flooring you like. Accuracy is essential when considering something as large as a flooring investment and may take a little time – after all, we want the quote to be right for you.

7. What happens if I like the flooring I saw in store and I want to proceed? We would be grateful for a 50% deposit of the quote cost so that we can secure your flooring. We will order the flooring the same day as your deposit is made. We will keep you updated through the process. You will never have to wonder what is happening with your flooring as we will provide you with accurate information.

8. Purchasing new flooring is a large investment. If it’s carpet then it should be cared for appropriately. Invest in a good vacuum and use it regularly. Be careful though with the vacuum you use. Some have too much suction and can pull carpet from the backing which is not covered by the carpet manufacturer warranty. The carpet-rug.org can tell you if your vacuum is approved by the Carpet & Rug Institute.

9. Carpet manufacturers require that you deep clean your carpet every 12-18 months to maintain the warranty. You can read further information on cleaning and maintenance at the carpet_rug.org website. Note that you can void the warranty if you don’t have your carpet professionally cleaned at certain time frames. Some carpet fiber warranty details can be found here mohawkflooring.com/customer-care/warranty and shawfloors.com/flooring/how-to/carpet/warranties

10. What do we keep in stock? We usually only keep a small amount of carpet and vinyl flooring in stock for property management, realtors and those who need immediate flooring. Generally though, and in most cases, we can acquire the flooring you want in or around 10 business days from the date we order. Orders are sometimes unexpectedly delayed due to inclement weather and things outside of our control. For example, if it snows in Georgia where most of the carpet mills are the world comes to a stop there. Thus shipping is delayed. We will always let you know if something such as this does occur.

11. Can I buy more flooring of what I already have? Yes, as long as your particular style and color have not been discontinued from production. Also sometimes there can be dyelot issues. This means that your flooring product may not exactly match newly manufactured product of the same style and type.

12. What do you mean by dyelot? When a carpet is manufactured at the mill it is called a ‘run’. Each run has a slightly different color shading because the product/dyes used cannot be exactly duplicated each time. The dyelot is unique every time that a carpet is manufactured.

13. We cannot reinstall toilets, sinks, fridges or move dishwashers. We would always suggest that you call a fully insured licensed plumber to do this.

14. We are not perfect and never claim to be. We will though be perfectly upfront with you and reveal that yes there are sometimes issues. If there’s ever a problem we will seek to resolve it amicably and make things right and better for you. We always seek improvement. Our Better Business Bureau rating is clear evidence that we offer an exceptional service. Compare us with some of the big box store reviews and you will see why we are proud of our professionalism and service and installation.

15. We want you to trust us as your flooring experts and professionals. We’d love to hear from you if you have questions. You can call us at 575-624-0901 or submit questions to georgescarpet@dfn.com and we will respond as soon as possible.
